The National Museum of the United States Air Force is an Air Force facility funded by the Air Force for normal Operations and Maintence costs. The Air Force Museum Foundation allocates a limited budget to the National Museum for support items not normally appropriated by the Congress. These include such items as in-house education support and educational outreach, volunteer support, public affairs and promotional activities, lecture series, special event expenses, and certain protocol expenses.
